Compass is a student-led program based in Newton, Massachusetts, dedicated to equipping middle school students with the knowledge and confidence to make smart financial decisions through interactive lessons, real-world scenarios, and hands-on activities.

The program is mentored by an experienced Newton North business teacher, keeping every lesson grounded, accurate, and classroom-ready.
School teaches the quadratic formula, the periodic table, and three branches of government.

Money is the one subject every student will use. So we teach it.

A student-athlete and competitive swimmer at Newton North, committed to NYU for fall 2027. She founded Compass after seeing how a lack of early financial education holds people back, convinced that literacy should never be a barrier to success.
Business Teacher & Mentor
20+ years teaching at Newton North
A Newton North business teacher since 2002, with a master's in education from Kent State University and a degree in business administration from the University of Scranton. He mentors students pursuing business and entrepreneurship.
Co-Founder & COO
A Newton North freshman, competitive swimmer for Shawmut Aquatic Club, and Business Club member who has run a small e-commerce business. He teaches elementary and middle schoolers the practical foundations of personal finance.
Co-Founder & CMO
A Newton North student and MLS Next Academy soccer player who founded his own e-commerce business. He visits schools as a speaker, presenting foundational financial concepts to younger students.
